has been consistently performing LASIK and other kinds of refractive surgery since 1998, literally for people from the six continents. During this period, he has done over 4100 cases (over 7900 eyes), (600 cases, 1120 eyes in the past 12 months; end Jun 2012). He has worked on several kinds and makes of Excimer lasers, starting with the Nidek EC-5000 with its scanning beam technology, passing by the Asclepion MEL-70 which was among the first to introduce ultra-fast tracking systems, and reaching to the current laser systems he is currently using, the Allegretto Wave with its new wavefront optimized ultra-fast Optimizd systems, the VisX platform with its Customvue Wavescan treatments, and the Femtosecond laser (Intralasik).
Dr Khalil has been invited as a guest speaker to
refractive surgery meetings and has organized, participated in
many instruction courses and symposia on LASIK and refractive surgery in many national and international
meetings around the globe.
Dr Khalil claims a 0% serious sight threatening complications among his cases. He says that this is not magic,
but very careful selection of suitable cases after
thorough examination, consultation and investigations, proper
technique, proper follow up and management. Though
complications can occur, they are rare and if they occur, their
proper management negates their effect.
"I want to thank you for being God's hand in giving me back my sight, such a bless that is worth a fortune. I can’t find words to express my gratitude and gratefulness. The procedure was a piece of cake, it was a painless journey that I feared so much until I was only comforted by your confident and calm voice explaining every step and making it so much easier"
